Mahango Game Reserve is a hidden gem located in the northeastern part of Namibia, within the Bwabwata National Park. This reserve is renowned for its rich biodiversity, stunning landscapes, and exceptional wildlife viewing opportunities. Covering approximately 245 square kilometers, Mahango Game Reserve is characterized by a mix of riverine forests, floodplains, open woodlands, and vast savannahs. The Okavango River, which runs along its border, adds to the beauty of this wilderness area and provides a vital water source for the diverse wildlife found within the park.
Due to its remote location, Mahango Game Reserve is less crowded compared to other Namibian parks, offering a more intimate and immersive safari experience. It is an excellent destination for self-drive safaris, guided game drives, and birdwatching excursions.
