2-Day Tarangire & Ngorongoro Crater Wildlife Safari

After breakfast, depart from Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park, named after the Tarangire River, the park’s main source of water and a lifeline for wildlife, especially during the dry season. Established in 1970, Tarangire is famous for its ancient baobab trees, large elephant herds, and diverse wildlife. Enjoy a full-day game drive searching for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and many bird species before heading to your accommodation in Karatu for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. Formed millions of years ago after a massive volcanic eruption and collapse, the crater is one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife areas and is often described as a natural wildlife sanctuary. Explore the crater floor in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, zebras, wildebeest, and flamingos. After a picnic lunch and more wildlife viewing, ascend the crater and drive back to Arusha, marking the end of your memorable 2-day safari.
