3-Day Bwindi Mountain Gorilla Trekking Safari

Depart Kampala or Entebbe with your driver-guide for the journey to southwestern Uganda. Travel through changing landscapes, rural settlements and scenic highlands, stopping for refreshments and lunch. Continue to the specific Bwindi sector where your gorilla permit is booked, such as Buhoma, Ruhija, Rushaga or Nkuringo. After arrival, check into your lodge and receive a briefing about the trekking schedule, fitness requirements, appropriate clothing and responsible gorilla-viewing rules.

Activities: Scenic transfer, lodge check-in and trekking preparation. Overnight: Confirmed Bwindi trekking sector.

Enjoy an early breakfast and report to the designated briefing point at the time provided by the park authorities. After a safety and conservation briefing, enter the forest with authorized trackers and guides to search for your assigned gorilla family. The trek may involve steep slopes, muddy trails and several hours of walking. Once the gorillas are located, follow the ranger's instructions and observe them for the permitted period. Return to the lodge to rest and reflect on this exceptional wildlife encounter.

After breakfast, begin the return journey to Kampala or Entebbe, with lunch and refreshment stops along the way. If you prefer a more relaxed departure, an optional community or cultural activity may be arranged near the lodge, subject to availability and timing. Guests using domestic flights can be transferred to a suitable airstrip if flights operate from the chosen sector and dates. The safari concludes with a hotel or airport drop-off as arranged.
