Hlane Royal National Park is one of the largest and most notable wildlife reserves in Eswatini (formerly Swaziland), located in the eastern part of the country, near the town of Siteki. This park is a sanctuary for a diverse array of wildlife, including some of the region’s most iconic species. The park spans approximately 22,000 hectares of savannah, grasslands, and wetlands, making it a vital part of the country's conservation efforts.
Hlane, meaning "wilderness" in SiSwati, has long been a place of royal importance, and it continues to serve as a haven for nature enthusiasts, researchers, and tourists alike. The park is home to large populations of lion, elephant, white rhino, and other indigenous animals, all living in a natural environment that is largely untouched by human development. As a protected area, it plays an important role in the preservation of both flora and fauna in Eswatini.
