3 Day Itinerary
Day 1 Arusha → Tarangire National Park → Karatu Main Destination: Tarangire National Park
Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport. After a short safari briefing, drive to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its ancient baobab trees and one of the largest elephant populations in East Africa. Enjoy a thrilling game drive as you search for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs, and a wide variety of bird species. Stop for a picnic lunch in the park before continuing your afternoon game drive. Later, drive to Karatu, a charming town on the edge of the Ngorongoro Highlands, where you will enjoy dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 2 Karatu → Ngorongoro Crater → Karatu Main Destination: Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast, descend approximately 600 metres into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa's best wildlife destinations. Spend the day exploring the crater floor, home to an incredible concentration of wildlife including lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, hyenas, flamingos, and the endangered black rhinoceros. Enjoy a picnic lunch beside the hippo pool before continuing your afternoon game drive. In the late afternoon, return to Karatu for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.
Day 3 Lake Manyara National Park → Arusha Main Destination: Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, travel to Lake Manyara National Park for your final game drive. This scenic park is famous for its lush groundwater forest, large troops of baboons, elephants, giraffes, hippos, flamingos, and more than 400 bird species. If you're fortunate, you may also spot the park's renowned tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a picnic lunch while surrounded by beautiful views before beginning the drive back to Arusha. Your safari concludes with drop-off at your hotel or Kilimanjaro International Airport in the late afternoon.
