Day By Day
6 Day Itinerary
Day 1 Arusha → Tarangire National Park → Karatu Main Destination: Tarangire National Park
Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha.
Meet your professional safari guide and receive a short safari briefing before departing for Tarangire National Park.
After approximately two hours of driving, arrive at the park and begin your first game drive.
Tarangire is famous for its large elephant population, spectacular baobab trees, seasonal wetlands, and diverse wildlife. During your game drive, keep an eye out for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs, and, with some luck, lions and leopards.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated picnic area before continuing your afternoon game drive.
Later in the afternoon, exit Tarangire National Park and continue toward Karatu, a beautiful town located near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Arrive at your lodge, check in, relax, and enjoy dinner.
Day 2 Karatu → Lake Eyasi Cultural Experience → Karatu Main Destination: Lake Eyasi
After breakfast, depart from your lodge and travel toward the remote and beautiful Lake Eyasi region.
Lake Eyasi offers a different side of Tanzania, away from the traditional safari routes. The area is home to communities with distinctive cultural traditions and ways of life.
Depending on local arrangements and availability, you will have an opportunity to participate in a locally guided cultural experience with members of the Hadzabe community.
Learn about traditional hunting and gathering practices, local knowledge of the surrounding environment, traditional tools, and aspects of daily life. The experience is designed as a respectful cultural exchange rather than a staged performance.
You may then visit members of the Datoga community, where you can learn about traditional metalworking, farming, livestock keeping, crafts, and other aspects of their way of life.
Enjoy a locally arranged lunch before continuing your cultural experience.
Day 3 Karatu → Serengeti National Park Main Destination: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, depart from Karatu and begin your journey toward Serengeti National Park.
Travel through the spectacular landscapes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area before reaching the Serengeti.
As you enter Serengeti National Park, begin an en-route game drive.
The Serengeti is famous for its vast open plains and extraordinary wildlife. Depending on the season, you may encounter large herds of wildebeests and zebras as well as lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hyenas, and many other species.
Enjoy a picnic lunch during the journey before continuing your game drive toward your accommodation.
Arrive at your camp in the late afternoon or early evening.
Enjoy dinner and relax around the campfire while listening to the sounds of the African wilderness.
Day 4 Full-Day Serengeti National Park Main Destination: Serengeti National Park
Wake up early and enjoy breakfast before setting out on a full-day game drive.
The early morning is an excellent time for wildlife viewing as animals are often active during the cooler hours of the day.
Your professional guide will select the best areas to explore based on seasonal conditions and recent wildlife movements.
Search for some of Tanzania's most iconic animals, including:
Lions
Cheetahs
Leopards
Elephants
Giraffes
Buffaloes
Zebras
Wildebeests
Hippos
Hyenas
Gazelles
Various bird species
Depending on your travel season, you may also have the opportunity to witness the Great Migration.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated picnic area before continuing your afternoon game drive.
Return to your camp in the evening for dinner.
Day 5 Serengeti → Ngorongoro Highlands / Karatu Main Destination: Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast, begin your final morning game drive in Serengeti National Park.
The morning offers another opportunity to see wildlife before leaving the park.
Continue your journey through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying the changing landscapes as you travel from the Serengeti plains toward the highlands.
Enjoy a picnic lunch along the way.
Continue to Karatu and arrive at your lodge in the afternoon or early evening.
Spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing at the lodge, enjoying the gardens, swimming pool, or surrounding environment.
Day 6 Ngorongoro Crater → Arusha Main Destination: Ngorongoro Crater
Wake up early and enjoy breakfast at your lodge.
Depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend approximately 600 meters into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater.
The crater is one of Tanzania's most remarkable wildlife destinations and provides excellent opportunities to see a wide range of wildlife within a relatively compact area.
During your game drive, search for:
Lions
Elephants
Buffaloes
Zebras
Wildebeests
Hippos
Hyenas
Gazelles
Flamingos
Other wildlife
You may also have the opportunity to see the endangered black rhinoceros.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated picnic area before ascending from the crater.
Continue your journey to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening.
Your safari concludes with drop-off at your Arusha hotel or transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport, depending on your onward travel arrangements.
Safari Ends.
