Continue to Uhuru Peak, the Roof of Africa

Enjoy sunrise at the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro

Descend back to Kibo Hut for rest, then continue to Horombo Hut

I recently completed the 5-day marangu route on mount kilimanjaro, and i can confidently say it was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. From the very beginning at marangu gate to standing on uhuru peak, everything was well organized, safe, and truly memorable. The journey takes you through breathtaking ecological zones—from lush rainforest filled with monkeys and exotic birds, to the dramatic alpine desert, and finally the icy summit of africa’s highest mountain. Each day brought new scenery and challenges, making the trek both exciting and rewarding. The mountain huts were comfortable and provided a good place to rest after long hiking days. The guides and porters were extremely professional, supportive, and encouraging, especially during the tough summit night. Their motivation made all the difference when reaching gilman’s point and finally uhuru peak at sunrise. Reaching the “roof of africa” was an emotional and unforgettable moment. The views from the summit were absolutely stunning and worth every step of the climb. The descent was also well managed, and receiving the summit certificate at marangu gate was a proud and joyful finish to the adventure. I highly recommend this route to anyone looking for a well-supported and scenic kilimanjaro experience. It is challenging but achievable, and the memories will stay with you forever i highly recommend testify safari and hafiz as guide
