7-Day Kenya Safari & Diani Beach Holiday

Day 1: Nairobi – Maasai Mara

Your Kenya safari begins with a morning pickup from your Nairobi hotel or the airport. From there, you'll drive towards the famous Maasai Mara, passing through the beautiful Great Rift Valley.

We'll make a short stop along the way so you can enjoy the scenery and take a few photos before continuing to the Mara.

After arriving, you'll have lunch at your lodge or camp and a little time to settle in. Later in the afternoon, head out for your first game drive in the Maasai Mara.

Keep your camera ready—you may encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, antelopes and, with some luck, lions and other predators.

After the game drive, return to your accommodation for dinner and a relaxing evening in the heart of Kenya's wildlife country.

Day 2: Full-Day Maasai Mara Safari

Wake up to the sounds of the African bush and enjoy breakfast before setting out for a full day in the Maasai Mara.

Today is all about exploring the reserve at a relaxed pace. Your safari guide will take you through different areas depending on where wildlife has been spotted. Along the way, you may see elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, buffalo and large herds of wildebeest.

You'll carry a picnic lunch and spend most of the day out in the reserve, giving you plenty of time for wildlife viewing and photography. If you're visiting during the Great Migration season, you may also have the opportunity to witness large herds moving across the Mara plains, although wildlife movements vary naturally.

Return to your lodge or camp in the late afternoon. Spend the evening relaxing, enjoying dinner and taking in the peaceful atmosphere of the Mara.

Day 3: Maasai Mara – Amboseli National Park

After an early breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in the Maasai Mara. This is another chance to spot wildlife before leaving the reserve, so keep your camera ready.

You'll then begin the journey towards Amboseli National Park. It's a longer drive, but the changing scenery makes the journey part of the experience as you travel across the Kenyan countryside.

Arrive in Amboseli, check into your lodge or camp and enjoy lunch. Later in the afternoon, head out for a game drive through the park.

Amboseli is particularly known for its large elephant herds and beautiful views of **Mount Kilimanjaro** on clear days. You may also see giraffes, zebras, buffalo, lions and a variety of birds.

After the game drive, return to your accommodation for dinner and a relaxing evening.

Day 4: Full-Day Amboseli National Park Safari

Start your morning with breakfast before heading out for a full-day safari in Amboseli National Park.

The early hours are often a wonderful time to explore the park, when the air is cool and wildlife is becoming active. With your guide, you'll explore the open plains and wetlands while looking for elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, hippos and different bird species.

One of the highlights of the day is the chance to see the park's famous elephant herds with Mount Kilimanjaro rising in the background. When the weather is clear, the mountain provides an unforgettable backdrop for photographs.

Enjoy a picnic or lodge lunch before continuing with the afternoon game drive. Your guide will choose the areas to explore based on wildlife movements and the day's conditions.

Later in the afternoon, return to your lodge or camp to relax, enjoy dinner and spend your final evening in Amboseli.

Day 5: Amboseli – Diani Beach

Enjoy an early breakfast at your lodge before saying goodbye to Amboseli and beginning your journey to the Kenyan coast.

You'll travel towards Diani Beach, one of Kenya's most popular coastal destinations. Depending on your preferred arrangements, this journey can be made by road or by domestic flight, giving you flexibility depending on your schedule and budget.

After arriving in Diani, check into your mid-range beach accommodation and take some time to settle in.

The rest of the day is yours to enjoy. Take a walk along the white sandy beach, relax by the pool or simply enjoy the warm Indian Ocean atmosphere after several exciting safari days.

In the evening, enjoy dinner and a peaceful night at your beach hotel.

Day 6: Relax and Explore Diani Beach

Today is all about enjoying the coast at your own pace.

For those who want a little more activity, there are several optional experiences you can add, including snorkeling, diving, a dhow or boat trip, and marine excursions.

You can also explore some of the local shops and restaurants around Diani or simply enjoy a quiet afternoon at your resort.

As the day comes to an end, take in the coastal sunset before returning to your accommodation for dinner and another relaxing night in Diani.

Day 7: Diani Beach – Nairobi / Departure

After checking out, you'll be transferred to Ukunda Airport for your flight to Nairobi, or begin your onward journey by road if that option has been arranged.
