When to Visit
May to September (Winter/Dry Season) – Ideal for wildlife viewing as animals gather around water sources and the temperatures are cooler.

Stay hydrated, as the desert climate can cause dehydration quickly. Apply sunscreen and wear protective clothing to avoid sunburn. Get There
  NamibRand Nature Reserve is accessible by both road and air:   By Air: The closest international airport is Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH) in Windhoek. From there, travelers can take a chartered flight to one of the reserve’s airstrips. By Road: The reserve is about 400 km (250 miles) southwest of Windhoek. Visitors can drive via the B1 and C19 routes, a journey that takes approximately 5 to 6 hours. A 4x4 vehicle is recommended, especially for navigating the sandy and gravel roads.
