Day 1 Mikumi National Park Day Safari By SGR Train Main Destination: Mikumi National Park

Start before sunrise with a transfer to the SGR station in Dar es Salaam and take the early electric train to Morogoro, around two hours. Your driver-guide meets you at the station for the road transfer of about 90 minutes to Mikumi National Park. Spend the day on game drives across the Mkata floodplain, looking for lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo and the hippo pools, with a picnic or restaurant lunch. In the afternoon return to Morogoro for the evening train to Dar es Salaam and drop-off at your hotel.
