Day 1 Uzi Island Mangrove Kayaking and Village Lunch Main Destination: Zanzibar

After hotel pickup, drive about an hour to Uzi Island, which is linked to the main island by a causeway. Your instructor gives a safety briefing and helps you into a kayak. Paddle through calm mangrove channels, looking out for birds, crabs and small fish among the roots. After kayaking, walk into Uzi village to meet local families, see handmade crafts and enjoy a lunch of local dishes with fresh fruit and drinks. Kayaking takes place at high tide, so your start time is confirmed after booking.
