Day 1 Prison Island Tortoises, Nakupenda Sandbank and Seafood Lunch Main Destination: Zanzibar

Your guide collects you from your hotel, or you meet at Forodhani Park in Stone Town. A short dhow ride takes you to Prison Island (Changuu), where you walk among the Aldabra giant tortoises, some of which weigh up to 200 kg, see the peacocks and explore the ruins of the prison built in the British colonial era. Sail on to Nakupenda sandbank to swim and snorkel with the equipment provided. Enjoy a seafood lunch with seasonal fruit and soft drinks on the sand, then sail back to Stone Town for your transfer. Sandbank time depends on the tide.
