2-Day Mikumi Bush Walk and Game Drive Overnight By Train

Start with an early transfer to the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) station in Dar es Salaam and take the electric train west to Morogoro, a journey of around two hours through farmland and small towns. Your driver-guide meets you at Morogoro station for the road transfer of about 90 minutes to Mikumi National Park. After lunch and check-in you set out on a guided bush walk on the edge of Mikumi National Park, reading tracks and spotting birds and smaller wildlife at ground level, followed by a game drive across the Mkata floodplain. Dinner and overnight at your camp.

After breakfast you enjoy a short early game drive in Mikumi, then your driver-guide takes you back to Morogoro station for the SGR electric train to Dar es Salaam. The train ride takes around two hours, and you arrive in the city in the evening. On arrival you are dropped at your hotel or the airport. Train times follow the SGR timetable and are confirmed with your booking.
