3-Day Ruaha National Park Private Safari from Iringa

Your driver-guide collects you in the morning from your hotel in Iringa, the highland town that is the usual gateway to Ruaha. The drive west to Ruaha National Park takes a few hours on a partly unpaved road through villages and baobab country. After check-in you head out on your first game drive along the Great Ruaha River, where elephants, giraffes, impala and buffalo come to drink. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Spend the day exploring Ruaha National Park, one of the largest and wildest parks in Tanzania. Morning and afternoon game drives take you through river valleys, open woodland and plains dotted with baobab trees. Your guide searches for large elephant herds, lions, leopards and both greater and lesser kudu. Return to the lodge for lunch and a rest in the heat of the day, then go out again in the afternoon light. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Enjoy an early breakfast and, when time allows, a short final game drive in Ruaha. Then drive back east to Iringa, arriving in the afternoon. Your driver-guide drops you at your hotel, the bus station or Iringa airport for your onward journey. If you are flying out of Iringa on the same day, please book an afternoon or evening flight so there is enough time for the road transfer from the park.
