2-Day Mikumi National Park From Dar Es Salaam

Pick-up from your hotel or preferred location in Dar es Salaam at 04:00 AM and start the drive to Mikumi National Park. Breakfast will be taken on the way, depending on the arrangement.

On arrival in Mikumi, you will begin a game drive inside the park. The game drive gives you a chance to explore the open savannah and search for wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, antelopes, wildebeests, lions, and many bird species.

Around midday, you will enjoy lunch, then continue with a short afternoon game drive or proceed for a Maasai culture tour. During the Maasai visit, you will learn about their traditional lifestyle, customs, dances, houses, and local community life.

Later in the evening, drive to your lodge or camp for check-in, relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.

After breakfast at the lodge or camp, start your morning game drive inside Mikumi National Park. This is a good time to see animals when they are more active and enjoy the beautiful morning scenery of the park.

You will continue exploring different areas of the park while searching for more wildlife and taking photos. Depending on the route and timing, you may enjoy lunch before starting the drive back to Dar es Salaam.

After lunch, exit the park and drive back to Dar es Salaam. Arrival is expected in the late afternoon or evening, followed by drop-off at your hotel, airport, ferry terminal, or preferred location.
