Day By Day
2 Day Itinerary
Day 1 Arusha to Tarangire National Park: Main Destination: Tarangire National Park
After breakfast at your lodge in Arusha, our safari driver-guide will meet you. You will depart for Tarangire National Park, stopping briefly in Arusha town for any last-minute purchases. The drive will take you along the Great Northern Highway, passing through the Masai steppe and various villages. Tarangire, the fifth largest national park in Tanzania, lies at the foot of the Great East African Rift Valley. The park features low-lying hills covered in acacia woodland, giant baobab trees, and savannah grasslands. The main attractions of this park include a large population of elephants, the Tarangire River (a permanent water source), and the immense baobab trees, which dwarf the animals beneath them. You may see herds of wildebeest, buffalo, elephants, zebras, giraffes, hippos, and various antelopes. Primates such as baboons, blue monkeys, and vervet monkeys inhabit the park. Predators like lions, hyenas, jackals, and the elusive leopard, which requires keen eyes to spot.
Day 2 Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive Then Arusha. Main Destination: Ngorongoro Crater
Start your day with the first rays of the sun at 06:30. Descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater floor for an unforgettable game drive. Fed by water from the highlands and abundant fodder, this area is rich in wildlife, including herds of wildebeest, giant African elephants, eland, zebra, warthog, buffalo, and the rare black rhino. The renowned Big Five—lion, leopard, buffalo, black rhino, and African elephant—can often be spotted during a single day of game driving. A packed lunch will be served at the crater floor. Another remarkable feature of this picturesque crater is its dense population of predators, including lions, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, and the elusive leopard, which requires a trained eye to spot. You will visit Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake that serves as one of the water sources in the crater. Flamingos, hippos, and other aquatic birds can be seen here.
