3-Day Fly-In Bird Watching & Fishing Safari in Nyerere NP

Morning transfer from your hotel to Zanzibar Airport for your scheduled flight to Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous Game Reserve).

Upon arrival at the airstrip, you will be welcomed by your guide and start a game drive safari. During the drive you will have great opportunities to see wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, buffalo, lions and many bird species.

Afternoon game drive continues exploring the park.

Dinner and overnight at the lodge

After breakfast, depart for a full day boat safari and fishing experience along the famous Rufiji River.

This river is one of the best places in Tanzania for bird watching, where you can spot kingfishers, fish eagles, herons, storks, and many other water birds.

You will also enjoy fishing activities while cruising through the river channels surrounded by hippos and crocodiles.

Enjoy a picnic lunch on the riverbank, then continue fishing and bird watching until sunset.

Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Early breakfast followed by a guided walking safari outnside the wilderness of Nyerere National Park. This experience allows you to explore the bush on foot while learning about animal tracks, plants, and birdlife.

Later transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Zanzibar.
