3-Day Namib Desert, Sossusvlei and Deadvlei Escape

Depart early in the morning from either Windhoek or Swakopmund and begin your scenic journey towards the Namib Desert. Travel through Namibia’s beautiful and ever-changing landscapes, with wonderful photographic opportunities along the way. Stop at the famous settlement of Solitaire to taste its legendary apple pie before continuing to the lodge. Upon arrival, check in and enjoy some time to relax. Later, head out for a memorable sundowner experience surrounded by the peaceful desert scenery. Return to Namib Desert Lodge or a similar property for dinner and your overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, depart for a full-day guided Sossusvlei excursion in the heart of the Namib-Naukluft National Park. Travel past magnificent red dunes and stop at Dune 45, where energetic guests may climb the dune and enjoy sweeping desert views. Continue to Sossusvlei before taking the 4×4 shuttle to Deadvlei, famous for its ancient camel-thorn trees surrounded by white clay and towering dunes. Guests may also challenge themselves with a climb up Big Daddy before enjoying lunch. On the return journey, visit Sesriem Canyon and explore its impressive rock formations. Return to Namib Desert Lodge or a similar property for dinner and overnight.

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge before checking out and beginning the return journey to either Windhoek or Swakopmund. Relax during the scenic drive and admire Namibia’s beautiful desert landscapes, open plains and mountain scenery along the way. There will be comfort and photographic stops where time permits. Upon arrival in Windhoek or Swakopmund, guests will be dropped off at their hotel, accommodation or another agreed location, marking the end of an unforgettable Namib Desert adventure.
