Day 1 Arrival – Sightseeing Addis Ababa Main Destination: Bale Mountains National Park

You will be met upon arrival and transferred to your hotel. Refresh and begin your sightseeing of Addis with a drive up to Mount Entoto for a panoramic view of Addis. You'll descend and drive to the National Museum, where you will have a chance to spot the oldest hominid fossil of ‘Lucy’. You'll visit and proceed to the Holy Trinity, built during WWII. Then, you'll proceed to the Ethnographic museum, which used to be the palace of Emperor Haile Selassie. To wrap up, your drive to Merkato, the biggest market in East Africa. Your overnight stay will be in Addis.

Day 2 Drive Addis Ababa – Bale Mountains National Park Main Destination: Bale Mountains National Park

After breakfast, you'll drive from Addis Ababa to Bale Mountains National Park and arrive at the park headquarters in the afternoon, hike for an hour, possibly spotting two endemic Ethiopian mammals that are frequently seen in the area, such as Mountain Nyala and Menelick Bushbuck, and endemic forest birds.

Day 3 Sanetti Plateau & Harrena Forest Main Destination: Bale Mountains National Park

Today, you will have an excursion to the Sanetti Plateau, the highest plateau in Africa. Here, you may encounter the endemics of the Ethiopian wolf and beautiful birds. You'll visit and proceed to Harrena Forest, the second dense forest in Ethiopia.

Day 4 Drive Addis – Departure Main Destination: Bale Mountains National Park

Today, you will drive to Addis. The traditional coffee ceremony will also be served. Later, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure.
