6-Day The Great Serengeti Migrations Encounter

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where our Kiwia Africa Tours driver will meet you and welcome you to Tanzania. From the airport, we drive to Arusha, where you can relax at your hotel and prepare for the safari ahead. If you arrive early enough, you can spend the rest of the day resting or exploring a little of Arusha. Your guide will also brief you about the safari and confirm the plan for the following morning.

After breakfast, we leave Arusha and start our journey towards the Serengeti. It is a long drive, but the changing scenery makes the journey part of the experience. Once we enter Serengeti National Park, the safari begins. We will start looking for wildlife and, depending on the season, we will focus on areas where the migrating herds are currently moving. We continue with game viewing as we make our way to the camp or lodge for the evening.

Today we spend the whole day exploring the Serengeti and following the Great Migration. We will be looking for large herds of wildebeest and zebras as they move across the plains. Where the animals are found depends on the season, rainfall and their natural movement, so our guide will use local knowledge to find the best areas for wildlife viewing. Along the way, we may also encounter lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, buffalo and many other animals.

We head out early today with a packed breakfast and spend another full day in the Serengeti. This gives us more time to follow the herds and explore different areas of the park. The migration is always moving, so there is no fixed place where the animals will be on a particular day. Our guide will keep checking the best areas and take you where there is the greatest chance of seeing the herds. We return to camp in the evening after another exciting day in the wild.

We enjoy one final morning game drive in the Serengeti before beginning our journey back towards Arusha. The early morning is a great time to be out because many animals are active, and the light is beautiful for photography. We take our time on the way out of the park and enjoy the last views of the Serengeti. Later, we continue to Arusha where our safari comes to an end.

After breakfast, you can relax at the hotel until it is time for your airport transfer. Our driver will pick you up and take you to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight home or your next destination. We say goodbye after an unforgettable few days following the Great Migration in the Serengeti.
