5-Day Camping Safari North Tanzania

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, where your Africa Prince Adventures representative will meet and welcome you to Tanzania.

You will be transferred to your hotel/camp in Arusha. After check-in, you will have a safari briefing with your professional guide, including information about the route, wildlife, camping and what to expect during the coming days.

The rest of the day is free to relax after your journey and prepare for your safari.

After breakfast, depart Arusha and drive towards Tarangire National Park, approximately 2–3 hours depending on your starting point and road conditions.

Tarangire is particularly famous for its elephants and beautiful baobab landscapes. The park also supports lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, antelopes and abundant birdlife.

Arrive around midday and enjoy a picnic lunch before beginning your afternoon game drive.

Spend the afternoon exploring Tarangire, following wildlife along the Tarangire River and through the park’s open savannah and woodland.

As the sun begins to set, leave the park and proceed to your campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.

Wake up early, enjoy breakfast and begin your journey towards the legendary Serengeti National Park.

The drive takes you through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with spectacular highland scenery before descending towards the Serengeti plains.

You will enter Serengeti and begin your game drive en route to the central Serengeti/Seronera area.

This is an exciting wildlife day. Keep your eyes open for wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, giraffes, elephants, buffaloes and predators such as lions, cheetahs, hyenas and possibly leopards.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your afternoon game drive.

Later, arrive at your campsite in Central Serengeti, where you will enjoy dinner under the African sky.

This is your full day in the Serengeti.

Wake early for a sunrise game drive when temperatures are cooler and many animals are active. Depending on wildlife movements, your guide will choose the best areas to explore.

Spend the day searching for the Serengeti’s famous predators and large herds. You may encounter lion prides, cheetahs, hyenas and, with luck, leopards resting in trees or around the kopjes.

The Serengeti is also one of the world’s most famous landscapes for the Great Wildebeest Migration, although the exact location of the herds changes throughout the year according to rainfall and food availability.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park and continue with afternoon game viewing.

Return to camp in the evening for dinner, relaxation and another night surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Wake early and enjoy breakfast before departing Serengeti towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Depending on the route and timing, you can enjoy a short morning game drive while leaving Serengeti.

Continue towards Ngorongoro and descend approximately 600 metres into the crater for an unforgettable game drive. The crater’s enclosed ecosystem provides excellent opportunities to see buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, elephants, lions, hyenas and, with luck, the endangered black rhino.

Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater while surrounded by the dramatic volcanic landscape.

After the game drive, ascend from the crater and begin your journey back to Arusha.

Arrive in Arusha in the late afternoon/evening, marking the end of your 5 Days Tarangire, Serengeti & Ngorongoro Camping Safari.
