5-Day Gorilla and Chimpanzee Trekking Safari.

Your driver guide will pick you up from your hotel or airport in the morning and start your journey to Queen Elizabeth National park located in the Western part of Uganda. You will have your first stop at the equator and there after continue to your lunch stop. After your lunch you will continue with your journey to your lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will be staying staying tonight.

After your early breakfast, you will be transferred to Kyambura Gorge for your chimpanzee trekking. The Kyambura Gorge, also known as "the Valley of Apes," is a breathtaking natural sanctuary carved into the Rift Valley. Surrounded by dramatic cliffs and dense tropical forest, the gorge offers an adventurous journey into one of Uganda’s most beautiful wilderness areas. Here you will be briefed about chimpanzee trekking and thereafter head into the gorge to search for the chimps. On encountering them, you will be given one hour with them before heading back to the starting point to reconnect with your guide.

You will then head back to your lodge for a short relaxation and lunch, and after lunch you will have a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel. On the boat safari, expect to see along of water animals including elephants which come to the channel to take water. You will head back to your lodge for dinner and over stay.

Today you exit Queen Elizabeth National Park and continue with your adventure to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The drive will take you through the most scenic parts of Uganda. Enjoy the hilly and winding road of southwestern Uganda. On arrival at your lodge facing the Bwindi Impenetrable rainforest, feel free to check in and have a relaxed afternoon at the lodge, or you can have a community visit, which can be arranged at the lodge.

The big day is finally here. It's time to enter the impenetrable rainforest in search of the mountain. Gorillas. But just before that, after a healthy breakfast, you will join the rest of the tourists for a short brief about the adventure ahead of you; thereafter, you will be divided into small groups of 8 based on your assigned gorilla family you will be tracking for the day. You will then head into the forest in search of this family. On encountering the gorilla family, you will be given 1 hour with the gorillas, and after that you will be led out of the forest and reunited with your guide and awarded a certificate.

You will then be transferred to your next lodge at Lake Bunyonyi for an afternoon of relaxation by the lake.

Today you will mark the end of your ultimate primate safari. After your breakfast you will start your journey back to Entebbe to catch your international flight. Your guide will transfer you to the airport. We advise that you book an evening flight out of Entebbe.
