5-Day Prime Xakanaxa - Okavango Delta

You will be met at Maun Airport and shown to your light aircraft for the short flight into Moremi. Your adventure begins as you fly over the twisting channels of the Okavango, look carefully and you will start seeing herds of animals below. Your Kalahari Under Canvas guide will meet you at the airstrip with cold drinks and you will take a slow game drive back to camp. Moremi is unequalled in scenic beauty and hosts an excellent quantity and variety of birds, plants and animals, including Elephant, Buffalo, Sable, Giraffe, Tsessebe, Lechwe, Wildebeest, Impala, Waterbuck, Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Wild dog and Hyena, but, that's just the beginning, there are many more very special animals to be seen. You will arrive in camp with enough time to settle in and shower before enjoying sundowners around the campfire. After a 3 course dinner and an evening relaxing under the stars, you will fall asleep comfortably in your en suite Meru tent listening to the sounds of the African bush.

So we will wake you up just before sunrise and have a quick continental breakfast and fresh coffee before leaving on our morning game drive. Sit back, enjoy the rising sun and the scent of wild sage while you look for animals. Game drives in Moremi take you down winding tracks, through mopane forests and across lush grasslands. Any waterways are either traversed by vehicles or crossed on rustic log bridges. We stop for coffee, tea and biscuits around 10h00 and then continue our drive searching for more game, returning to camp late morning for a delicious brunch and freshly baked bread. After brunch you will have plenty of time to read, relax and siesta. We meet again for tea and cake around 3pm and then leave on the afternoon game drive around 4pm. Sundowners and snacks are enjoyed on the game drive before heading back to camp. In the evening on arrival in camp, you will be welcomed by sight of the campfire and the smell of dinner.

After packing your bags we will meet around the fire to enjoy a full English breakfast, then you say goodbye to your camp team and head off on your morning game drive and a last chance to spot animals that have eluded you so far. You will stop for coffee, tea and biscuits then continue game driving until your plane arrives. Your flight back to Maun will be mid morning arriving back in Maun in time to connect with your international flight or to continue your holiday.
