You will fly from Arusha to Serengeti National Park, where your

private safari guide from Extreme African Wonders will greet you.

From there, the epic adventure begins!

The Serengeti National Park is truly spectacular, known for its vast

open grasslands that provide excellent opportunities for wildlife

sightings. While it is home to a wide variety of wildlife, it is especially

famous for its incredible annual migration. Depending on the time

of year you visit, you may witness one of the Seven Wonders of the

Natural World, as vast numbers of wildebeest, zebra, and antelope

migrate in search of water and fresh grass.

Your final sunrise in the Serengeti! You will have a leisurely

morning's game drive and gently wend your way through the

Serengeti and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Today, you are

heading to the Ngorongoro Crater, where you will experience cooler

temperatures and see more wonder on the way! A hearty dinner

awaits you at your accommodation.

When you first see the Ngorongoro Crater, it looks like a forgotten

world. Concealed by the steep volcanic walls is a pristine wilderness

including sweeping savannah, pockets of acacia woodland and

glistening lakes and swamps. The crater was created when a large

volcano exploded and collapsed 2 to 3 million years ago. It is famous

for its geological delights and being a natural reserve home to some

of the densest large mammal populations on the African continent.

The drive down the crater is an adventure in itself. When you reach

the crater floor, you quickly find yourself amongst large numbers of

wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and more than 500 bird species. The

crater provides you with the best chance of seeing the endangered

black rhino, which can sometimes be spotted in the open

grasslands.

After a picnic lunch inside the crater, you will return to your

accommodation for a delicious dinner and an overnight stay.

Today, you will be driven to your final destination, either Arusha

town, Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro Airport. Timings are dependent
