Day 1 From Your Hotel to Rongai Gate (1,950 M) to Simba Camp (2,625 M) Main Destination: Kilimanjaro National Park
Your expedition begins with a morning transfer from your hotel to Rongai Gate on the northern side of Mount Kilimanjaro. After registration and a comprehensive safety briefing, start your trek through lush rainforest and montane forest, where you may spot colobus monkeys and a variety of birdlife. Arrive at Simba Camp in the afternoon to enjoy dinner and prepare for the days ahead.

Day 2 Simba Camp (2,625 M) to Second Cave (3,450 M) Main Destination: Kilimanjaro National Park
After breakfast, continue your ascent through open moorland with spectacular views of Kibo Peak and the Kenyan plains. The gradual climb provides excellent acclimatization as you make your way to Second Cave for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3 Second Cave (3,450 M) to Mawenzi Tarn Camp (4,330 M) Main Destination: Kilimanjaro National Park
Leave the main Rongai Route and head toward the spectacular Mawenzi Tarn, nestled beneath the towering cliffs of Mawenzi Peak. This beautiful campsite offers breathtaking scenery and serves as the base camp for your technical climbing adventure.

Day 4 Mawenzi Peak Technical Climb (5,149 M) – Return to Mawenzi Tarn Main Destination: Kilimanjaro National Park
Today marks the highlight of your expedition as you attempt the technical ascent of Mawenzi Peak (5,149 m), the rugged and dramatic second-highest summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. After an early breakfast, set out with your certified mountaineering guide and safety team, equipped with the necessary technical gear for the climb. The route involves challenging rock scrambling, steep volcanic ridges, exposed gullies, and technical climbing sections that require careful navigation. Throughout the ascent, your guide will provide expert instruction and ensure your safety while you make your way toward the summit. After taking photographs and enjoying the spectacular scenery, begin a careful descent back to Mawenzi Tarn Camp. enjoying a well-earned hot meal, and reflecting on one of Africa's most rewarding technical mountaineering adventures.

Day 5 Mawenzi Tarn Camp (4,330 M) to Horombo Hut (3,720 M) Main Destination: Kilimanjaro National Park
After breakfast, bid farewell to the dramatic landscapes of Mawenzi as you begin your descent from Mawenzi Tarn Camp. Retrace your steps across the scenic Saddle, the vast alpine desert that stretches between the towering peaks of Mawenzi and Kibo. Along the way, enjoy spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro's rugged terrain and take in the unique beauty of this high-altitude wilderness.Continue descending to Horombo Hut, where the alpine desert gradually gives way to the moorland zone, dotted with giant groundsels and lobelias. Arrive at the hut in the afternoon with time to relax, enjoy a freshly prepared dinner, and reflect on the successful technical ascent of Mawenzi Peak. Spend your final night on the mountain in the comfort of the hut before descending to Marangu Gate the following day.

Day 6 Horombo Hut (3,720 M) to Marangu Gate (1,860 M) – Transfer to Your Hotel Main Destination: Kilimanjaro
After an early breakfast, begin your final descent through the beautiful heath and montane rainforest of Mount Kilimanjaro. As you make your way down the well-maintained trail, enjoy the fresh mountain air, towering trees, and the chance to spot colorful birds and playful black-and-white colobus monkeys. Upon arrival at Marangu Gate, complete the park exit formalities and receive your official Kilimanjaro National Park certificate in recognition of your successful Mawenzi Peak Technical Mountaineering Adventure. Take time to celebrate your remarkable achievement with your mountain crew before bidding them farewell. Your driver will then transfer you back to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha, where you can enjoy a well-deserved hot shower, relax, and reflect on the unforgettable experience of conquering one of Mount Kilimanjaro's most challenging and least-traveled peaks.
