7-Day Serengeti Great Migration Safari

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be warmly welcomed by our safari representative and drive to your hotel at summit safari lodge in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax at the lodge, enjoy the beautiful surroundings, or explore the city at your leisure. In the evening, you will receive a detailed safari briefing from your guide to prepare you for the exciting adventure ahead.

After an early breakfast, depart Arusha and journey through the scenic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley and Ngorongoro Conservation Area on your way to Serengeti National Park. Upon entering the park, enjoy your first game drive as you search for a variety of wildlife including lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and antelopes. Arrive in Central Serengeti in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Following breakfast, embark on a game drive while traveling north toward the famous Kogatende region of Northern Serengeti. This area is well known for hosting the Great Migration during the migration season, offering excellent opportunities to witness massive herds of wildebeest and zebras. Along the way, enjoy wildlife sightings and stunning views of the Serengeti plains before arriving at your camp for dinner and overnight.

Spend the entire day exploring the Northern Serengeti ecosystem, particularly around the Mara River where dramatic river crossings may occur during migration season. Witness thousands of wildebeest and zebras navigating crocodile-filled waters while predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs wait nearby. This full-day safari provides excellent opportunities for wildlife photography and unforgettable game-viewing experiences.

After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in Northern Serengeti before beginning your journey back to Central Serengeti. The drive offers continuous wildlife viewing opportunities as you pass through diverse habitats filled with resident and migratory animals. Arrive at your lodge or camp in the afternoon and spend the evening relaxing while enjoying the sounds of the African wilderness

Start the day with a morning game drive in Central Serengeti, maximizing your chances of spotting predators and other wildlife before traveling toward the Ngorongoro Crater. Continue through the scenic landscapes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and arrive at the crater rim for breathtaking views of the crater and surrounding highlands. Afterward, proceed to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay at Karatu Classic View Hotel.

After breakfast, depart Karatu and drive to Tarangire National Park for a game drive among giant baobab trees and large elephant herds. The park is also home to lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and many species of birds. After exploring Tarangire, continue to Arusha, where your unforgettable Great Migration safari comes to an end.
