He was not only knowledgeable about the wildlife and landscapes but also incredibly engaging and fun, making our journey enjoyable for the whole family. In the run up to our holiday, Willy and the team were super knowledgable and gave good range of options throughout the process. We built a 3 week itinerary including Mt.Kenya, Mara & Tsavo with a drop off in Mombasa before we went onto Lamu. On draft completion you would get a full PDF write up of each stage of the trip, photos, hotel and what was included. Two areas I think they could have improved on is the consistency of their invoicing which came across slightly unprofessional and raised alarm bells (we got that resolved and all was good - don’t worry!). Additionally we ended up choosing a couple of the hotels ourself (which is fine), however given that lodge was part of a wider group with multi-nights offers across their locations, we could have benefited from switching other hotels on the route.

Our safari started with a warm welcome at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, where we were greeted by our knowledgeable guide. He was not only incredibly friendly but also had an impressive depth of knowledge about Kenya's wildlife, culture, and history. Over the next six days, we explored some of the most breathtaking landscapes and national parks in the country. The first stop was Amboseli National Park, famous for its large herds of elephants and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro. The close encounters with elephants, zebras, and giraffes were unforgettable! After two days in Amboseli, we headed to the world-renowned Maasai Mara, where the wildlife action was non-stop. From witnessing a lion pride on a hunt to watching a cheetah chase down its prey, every moment felt like something out of a nature documentary. The accommodations throughout the trip were top-notch, offering a perfect blend of luxury and comfort. Each lodge and camp was nestled in stunning surroundings, with delicious meals served daily. Lamara Tourism went above and beyond to ensure our experience was unforgettable, including a surprise bush breakfast on the final day, which was an unexpected highlight!
