Day 1 Mnemba Snorkeling, Jozani Forest and Zanzibar Butterfly Centre Main Destination: Zanzibar

After hotel pickup, drive about an hour to the north-east coast and board a private boat to Mnemba Atoll. Spend around three hours swimming and snorkeling over coral reefs, with a chance to see dolphins. Then drive to Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park for a guided forest walk to see the red colobus monkeys and cross the mangrove boardwalk. Continue to the Zanzibar Butterfly Centre near Jozani, where you walk through the enclosure and learn how butterflies are raised. Return to your hotel in the late afternoon.
