After your breakfast, the Simba African Expeditions driver/guide will pick you up from the airport or place of residence/hotel and head straight up to Nyungwe Forest National Park. The park is home to the chimpanzees and 13 other primate species. Upon reaching it, retire to your booked lodge, have lunch, and later in the afternoon, head for the canopy forest walk. This is a platform that allows safari enthusiasts to view the entire forest from above from different angles and elevations. After the walk, head back to Nyungwe Top View Hill Hotel for dinner and overnight.
After your breakfast at 6:00 am, with your packed lunch and drinking water, you will be transferred to the park headquarters. Briefing about your adventure, then transfer to the starting point of the trekking and move into the jungles to find the chimpanzees. When you finally find the chimpanzees, you are allowed not more than an hour to view and photograph them. Then return to the start point to meet your driver/guide, who will return you to the lodge for lunch and checkout and drive back to Kigali for drop-off at the airport or desired destination.
