Day 1 Dar Es Salaam to Mikumi National Park Main Destination: Mikumi National Park

Meet your safari guide in Dar es Salaam for a short briefing before beginning your journey to Mikumi National Park. The drive takes approximately 5–6 hours, with time to stop for breakfast or snacks along the way if needed. Enjoy Tanzania’s changing scenery as your guide shares stories and insights about the country. Stop in Morogoro Town for lunch before continuing to Mikumi. On arrival, visit a Maasai boma to learn about Maasai traditions, daily life, and culture. Later, check in at your lodge or camp for dinner and an overnight stay in Mikumi.

Day 2 Mikumi National Park Game Drive and Return to Dar Es Salaam Main Destination: Mikumi National Park and Dar es

After breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive in Mikumi National Park. Its open grasslands make wildlife viewing especially rewarding, with opportunities to spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, antelopes, lions, and a variety of birdlife. More than 400 bird species have been recorded in the park. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated site before continuing your afternoon game drive. Later, begin the return journey to Dar es Salaam, where you will be dropped off at your hotel, residence, or the airport.
