You will be picked up from the Airport (depending on the time of your flight), by our professional driver/guide, who will brief you about your safari and then we will transfer you to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On our way we will have stopovers at the Ugandan equator at Kayabwe, for water experiment, pictures and shop for a souvenir. After lunch at Igongo Cultural Centre Mbarara, we continue to the southwest and head for the Western Rift Valley. We will enter the park with a mini game drive, in search for wildlife that includes; Waterbucks, Bushbucks, Kobs, Buffaloes, Elephants, Jackals, Hippos, Warthog, Lions and Leopards among others. We proceed on and check in to the Lodge for dinner and overnight. The day begins early as we go for our morning game drive, heading for Kasenyi plains, towards the Kobs mating grounds, in search for wildlife that may include the Bushbuck, Waterbuck, Elephants, Buffaloes, lions, Leopards and other wildlife in their natural habitat. The game drives normally take 3 -4 hrs before returning for breakfast. In the afternoon we take on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural link between Lake Edward and Lake George. The Channel accommodates abundant wildlife, hundreds of birds that are sighted fishing in the channel and hundreds of hippos that are cooling off at the shores, this cruise will definitely be one of the highlights of your safari.
After breakfast we will take a tour to Katwe salt lake, the biggest of the only 2 productive salt lakes in this park and western Uganda as a whole. Here salt is extracted locally by the local communities, for them to earn a living for their families. You will also be able to know the protective gears these people need for their bodies while at work. We later proceed on to Entebbe, with a lunch stopover in Mbarara. We later proceed on to Entebbe, with another stopover at the Equator, for toilet break and souvenir shopping. From there, we drive straight in Entebbe or your destination in kampala.
