Day 1 Nairobi – Voi – Salt Lick Safari Lodge Main Destination: Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary

Early morning transfer to Nairobi Terminus.

Board the 1st Class Madaraka Express for the scenic journey to Voi. Kenya Railways' morning Inter-County service departs Nairobi at 8:00 AM and stops at Voi 12:00

Arrive at Voi Station and meet Salt lick tranfer team to the hotel

Check in at Salt Lick Safari Lodge, uniquely built on stilts overlooking a wildlife waterhole.

Afternoon game drive through the sanctuary, with opportunities to see elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras and other wildlife.

Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Enjoy wildlife viewing from the lodge's waterhole and underground tunnel.

Visit the Taita Hills Wildlife Education Centre.

Visit Taita Hills Safari Resort & Spa for a World War I talk and visit to the Artefacts Museum, exploring the area's fascinating WWI history. The resort's museum features WWI memorabilia.

Return to Salt Lick Safari Lodge.

From the moment we left, the trip was full of fun, beautiful views and so many memorable moments. The place itself is beautiful and peaceful and it was definitely a nice break from the usual routine. Everything was well organized and we really enjoyed the whole experience. I’d definitely recommend this safari for a new kind adventure, especially as a group trip. One tip for anyone planning to go: carry comfortable clothes, sunscreen, a hat and a good camera for the views. And most importantly, be patient during the game drives — you never know what you might spot. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience with bonafide safaris and would happily travel with them again❤️.

We recently went on a group trip to amboseli national park with bonafide safaris and everything was just flawless. Planning a group trip can be a massive headache, but their team handled all the logistics seamlessly. The ride down mombasa road was actually really comfortable and the whole journey was incredibly smooth. Our guide was a total legend. He knew the park's tracks like the back of his hand. Thanks to him, we ended up right in front of massive herds of elephants. We also got some amazing photo shots of mount kilimanjaro very early in the morning before the clouds rolled in and covered the peak. The accommodation and meals were great too. Bonafide safaris has really good customer service and gives you serious value for money. If you are looking for a reliable tour operator in kenya that actually delivers, look no further!
