4-Day Uganda Express Gorilla and Chimpanzee Safari

On this day, our driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kigali and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will be picked up from your hotel to start the 6-hour drive to Queen Elizabeth NP. You will drive through the beautiful landscapes and hills of Rwanda before you cross through the Katuna border. You will have to stop at the border for immigration. After the border, you will have a lunch stop and proceed with a journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You'll arrive in the evening and check in, relax, as you wait for the chimp trekking adventure the day after.

On this day, you will have an early morning breakfast, pack up your bags, and drive to the briefing point for a general briefing about chimpanzee tracking. After the briefing, you will be split into small groups and allocated a guide who will take you to and from the forest. You'll begin searching for chimpanzees in the forest, and after finding them, you'll spend an hour in their presence. After the activity, you will have lunch and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park for dinner and an overnight stay.

On day three, you will have morning breakfast at 6:30 am and drive to the park headquarters at 7:00 am. After reaching the park headquarters, you will join other tourists for a general briefing. You will be briefed about the dos and don'ts of mountain gorillas. Afterward, you'll be split into small groups of 8 people per group. You will be allocated a ranger guide who will take you to and from the forest. Kindly note that the trek may be short, medium, or long. After gorilla tracking, you will drive back to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Following breakfast or the nature walk, you depart for the return journey to Kigali. The scenic drive winds through rolling countryside and rural communities, providing a last glimpse of the area’s vibrant culture and natural beauty. You will cross the border at Katuna, where immigration formalities are handled smoothly with the assistance of your guide and driver.

Upon reaching Kigali, you will be dropped off either at your hotel for a final night of relaxation or directly at Kigali International Airport, according to your travel plans. This flexible arrangement ensures a comfortable and seamless conclusion to your adventure, allowing you to depart with lasting memories of the landscapes, wildlife, and warm hospitality experienced throughout the journey. Whether heading home or continuing onward, this well-paced final day offers the perfect balance of rest, optional exploration, and convenient transfer.
