After an early breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park for a full day of game viewing, with a picnic lunch provided. Known for its massive elephant herds of up to 300, Tarangire is a unique park where elephants dig for water in the dry riverbeds. You’ll also encounter large gatherings of wildebeest, zebras, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest, and eland around the shrinking lagoons. This park serves as a refuge for migratory wildlife during the dry season and is a welcoming haven for elephants. Enjoy a delicious dinner and overnight stay at Marera Valley Lodge.
After breakfast, you’ll depart from the lodge at 8:30 AM, heading toward Lake Manyara National Park, where you’ll enjoy a picnic hot lunch during your full-day game drive. In the evening, you’ll proceed to Marera Valley for dinner and your overnight stay. Lake Manyara, stretching 50km along the base of the majestic 600-meter-high Rift Valley escarpment, is a true natural treasure. Ernest Hemingway once described it as 'the loveliest I had seen in Africa.' The park’s compact game-viewing circuit offers a perfect snapshot of a Tanzanian safari. As you enter, you’ll travel through lush, jungle-like groundwater forests, where large baboon troops lounge by the roadside, blue monkeys dart between ancient mahogany trees, graceful bushbucks move cautiously through the underbrush, and loud forest hornbills call from the towering canopy above.
After breakfast, you'll head to Serengeti National Park for a full-day game drive, with a picnic lunch along the way. In this vast landscape, a million wildebeest follow an ancient, unbroken rhythm, playing their vital part in the relentless cycle of life. These wildebeest engage in a frantic three-week period of territorial battles, mating, and survival, as they embark on a perilous journey, crossing crocodile-infested rivers in long, 40km (25-mile) columns during their annual migration north. Following a brief but intense population boom, with over 8,000 calves born each day, the 1,000 km (600-mile) migration begins anew.
Rise early for a thrilling game drive in Serengeti National Park, where you may spot wildebeest, lions, elephants, leopards, impalas, gazelles, cheetahs, and possibly witness the wildebeest migration. Afterward, enjoy a delicious brunch before packing your luggage to continue your journey to Ngorongoro. Along the way, you'll experience a game drive as you travel through the Serengeti en route to Ngorongoro. You will arrive at Ngorongoro in the late evening, where your night will be spent on the crater rim. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Ngorongoro Angata Tented Lodge.
After an early breakfast, you'll head directly to the Crater floor for a 6-hour game drive, where you'll have the opportunity to spot the iconic 'Big Five' – lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and possibly a black rhinoceros. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the Ngoitoktok Spring, where you may also encounter other large mammals, including hippos, giraffes, warthogs, baboons, and a variety of bird species. After your game drive, you'll ascend the crater rim and begin your journey back to Arusha. On the way, enjoy another game drive through Mto wa Mbu village before arriving at your hotel in Arusha in the evening. At the conclusion of your tour, we will drop you off at the airport.
