After breakfast, drive to Umbwe Gate for registration. Begin trekking through dense rainforest along a steep and narrow trail. The route passes towering trees, moss-covered vegetation, and occasional wildlife before reaching Umbwe Cave Camp for your first overnight stay.

Leave the rainforest behind as the trail climbs sharply into the heath zone. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Great Barranco Valley and the impressive Western Breach. Arrive at Barranco Camp beneath the towering Barranco Wall.

Begin the day by climbing the famous Barranco Wall, one of the most exciting sections of the trek. Continue across rolling ridges and valleys to Karanga Camp, allowing additional acclimatization before the summit push.

A steady climb leads to Barafu Camp, the base camp for the summit attempt. After lunch, relax, hydrate, and prepare your equipment. An early dinner is served before resting ahead of the midnight ascent.

Around midnight, begin the summit ascent under the stars. Reach Stella Point at sunrise before continuing to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m), the highest point in Africa. Celebrate your achievement, then descend to Barafu Camp for a short rest before continuing down to Mweka Camp for your final night on the mountain.
