7-Day Gorilla and Wildlife Safari

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be picked up by your driver guide who will transfer you to the pier to take a boat to the Mabamba wetlands. You will see the iconic shoebill along with other birds. Check in at your hotel in Entebbe.

This particular line of journey depends on the flight arrival time, if the flight arrives later in the day then the visitor first checks in at the hotel and the activity moves to the following day.

In the morning, after an early breakfast, be transferred by your driver to the park headquarters. After briefing, together with park rangers, embark on a forest walk searching for the closest cousins to humans the chimpanzees. Spend an hour watching them move across tree branches. After tracking have lunch and then visit the bigodi wetlands in the afternoon.

Upon finding the gentle giants, you are only allowed to spend an hour watching them closely. After the tracking, get your certification and drive back to the lodge for lunch. You can have a free afternoon or visit the batwa community in Bwindi and learn about their way of life.

After a successful trip, your driver will drive back to Entebbe, the journey takes about 8 hours. it will be advised to book an extra night in Entebbe for the car lag and then be taken to the airport to flight back home the next day. Alternatively, book a domestic flight from Kihihi Airstrip back to Entebbe to catch your departure flight on time.
