7-Day Masai Mara to Bwindi Adventure

Jambo, Welcome to Kenya. On this day you will arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, where you will be received and welcomed by our representative. You will be given a quick brief about your next 6 days, and then you will be transferred to your hotel in Nairobi, where you will be staying for tonight. In case of an early arrival, feel free to go out for a quick Nairobi city tour which can be arranged by your guide.

Today you will depart on a scenic drive of about 5 hours towards the Great Rift Valley and finally reach Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya's premier game reserve. On the way, we will have a brief stop en route at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint to enjoy stunning views of the world's largest valley (said to be visible from space) before arriving at Masai Mara for lunch. After lunch you will have some time to rest a bit. before heading out to visit the Masai Village, where you will be immersed in Masai culture. After the Masai village visit you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Today you will head out for a full day of game drives within the Masai Mara National Reserve. The Masai Mara National Reserve is famous for its black-mane lions and the annual wildebeest and zebra migration and is probably one of Kenya's most visited wildlife destinations. The extraordinary density of animals, including the Big Five and other varieties of plains game, is sure to provide excellent game viewing. The Mara River cuts through the Mara and Serengeti ecosystems, giving life to both reserves before finally pouring out into Lake Victoria. You will have a picnic lunch and continue with the game drives returning back to the lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Today you will depart Masai Mara in the morning and start your journey back to Nairobi. Your guide will drive you straight to the airport to catch your flight to Entebbe International Airport. This marks the end of your Kenyan adventure and a start to a new adventure in Uganda. In Uganda you will arrive at Entebbe International Airport, where our representative will receive you and transfer you to your hotel for tonight.

Today, you will embark on another journey from Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will make your first stop at the equator and thereafter continue to your lunch spot halfway through the journey. After lunch, expect a scenic drive through one of Uganda's most scenic regions, leading to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

On arrival, check into your lodge on the boundaries of Bwindi Impenetrable rainforest and have a relaxing evening as the day comes to an end.

The big day is finally here. It's time to enter the impenetrable rainforest in search of the mountain. Gorillas. But just before that, after a healthy breakfast, you will join the rest of the tourists for a short brief about the adventure ahead of you; thereafter, you will be divided into small groups of 8 based on your assigned gorilla family you will be tracking for the day. You will then head into the forest in search of this family. On encountering the gorilla family, you will be given 1 hour with the gorillas, and after that you will be led out of the forest and reunited with your guide and awarded and certificate.

Today you will start your journey back to Entebbe to catch your flight out in the evening. You could choose to take a short bush flight from Bwindi to Entebbe to cut off the driving time at an extra cost, and this can be arranged for you at any time.
