4 Day Itinerary
Day 1 Arusha - Tarangire National Park Main Destination: Tarangire National Park
We leave Arusha in the morning with our private driver-guide and turn southwest toward Tarangire, where the landscape begins to feel distinctly African. Ancient baobabs rise from the golden savannah, elephants move through the shade, and the Tarangire River draws an extraordinary gathering of wildlife, particularly in the dry season. Our safari begins as we make our way toward the lodge, watching for elephant herds, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and the abundant birdlife that makes this park so special. By afternoon, we arrive at our lodge, settle into the quiet of the bush, and let the day unfold over dinner.

Day 2 Tarangire National Park - Serengeti National Park Main Destination: Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast, we leave Tarangire behind and make our way toward the Serengeti, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where the landscape rises into dramatic highlands and opens to sweeping views of the Great Rift Valley. By afternoon, the road gives way to the vastness of the Serengeti—one of Africa’s most extraordinary wildlife landscapes. Here, the horizon seems to stretch forever, and the plains unfold around us as we set out on our first game drive. Depending on the season, we may encounter great herds of wildebeest and zebras, alongside the Serengeti’s resident lions, cheetahs, and leopards. As the light softens across the plains, we settle into the rhythm of this remarkable wilderness.

Day 3 Full Day in the Serengeti Main Destination: Serengeti National Park
Today belongs entirely to the Serengeti. We rise early, when the plains are at their most alive, and set out to explore the landscape from open grasslands to riverine forests. The day unfolds between morning and afternoon game drives, with time to follow the movements of the wildlife and, if fortune allows, witness the drama of predator and prey. Depending on the season, we may find ourselves among the great herds of the Great Migration, following their ancient journey across the plains. At midday, we pause for a picnic lunch in the bush, surrounded by nothing but the sounds and vastness of the Serengeti, before returning to the wilderness for another afternoon of discovery.

Day 4 Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha Main Destination: Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, we leave the Serengeti behind and make our way toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. From the crater rim, we descend into the vast natural amphitheater below, where the landscape gathers an extraordinary concentration of wildlife. Lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, flamingos, and, with some luck, the elusive black rhino can all be found among the crater’s grasslands and shimmering lakes. We pause for a picnic lunch beside the Ngoitokitok Springs, surrounded by the quiet drama of the crater, before beginning our ascent to the rim. From here, we turn back toward Arusha, arriving in the evening with the memories of three remarkable landscapes—and a very full taste of Tanzania’s northern wilderness.
