5 Day Itinerary

Day 1 Travel to Lake Mburo National Park Main Destination: Lake Mburo National Park

After your early morning breakfast, we start our drive through the Kampala-Masaka highway. We shall have a stopover at the Uganda Equator at Kayabwe for some minutes for photo shootings, have some coffee/tea, stretch your muscles and then continue with your drive. At this place, you will realize change in the vegetation and landscape as you cross from the flat and dry atmosphere of the Central-Buganda region to the Western-Ankole region which becomes hilly and greener. Check into Lake Mburo National Park, you will definitely start spotting lots of animals. Drive to your lodge for lunch and afternoon relaxation by the swimming pool with an Ice Cold beer. If you feel you are not too tired, you can have an afternoon Safari or even keep swimming.

Day 2 Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park Main Destination: Queen Elizabeth National Park

After our early morning breakfast, we shall continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park, have a game drive as we prepare for an evening Kazinga Channel boat ride. The Kazinga Channel is a natural waterway connecting Lake George and Lake Edward, offering excellent opportunities to spot hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, and a wide variety of water birds along its shores. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park Main Destination: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

We shall have a morning game drive through the Ishasha sector for a chance of sighting the tree-climbing lions and other wildlife. Then go for our lunch at the Savannah Resort Hotel and finally continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for the following day's gorilla tracking adventure. The drive offers stunning views of the western rift valley escarpment and local villages along the way. As you approach Bwindi, the landscape transforms into lush, mist-covered hills, home to the endangered mountain gorillas you will trek tomorrow.

Day 4 Gorilla Tracking Day Main Destination: Lake Bunyonyi

We take our morning breakfast and report to the park headquarters by 7:30 am for a brief highlights about gorilla tracking etiquette. After the brief gorilla tracking highlights at the park entrance and at the same time the starting point for gorilla tracking, we shall be penetrating through the Impenetrable Forest to look for these gentle giant gorillas under the guidance of a knowledgeable guide. Time taken doing gorilla tracking highly depends on how fast we shall locate a gorilla community. It can take us a few minutes or even an entire day trying to spot them. We shall then return from this thrilling but highly tiresome adventure to a relaxation. Overnight at Birdnest Lodge on Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 5 Drive Back to Kampala Main Destination: Entebbe International Airport (EBB)

After the morning breakfast, we shall have a smooth canoe-ride on Lake Bunyonyi before driving back to Kampala, as we shall make a stopover for our lunch in Mbarara Town and finally head back to Kampala / Entebbe Airport for your continuing journey. The canoe ride offers a peaceful final morning on the deepest lake in Uganda, surrounded by terraced hills and small forested islands, providing a perfect end to your 5-day adventure before the long drive back.
