Take a scenic boat trip to the historic island monasteries, beautifully decorated with ancient religious paintings. Later, visit the spectacular Blue Nile Falls (seasonal water level permitting). After breakfast, drive along the scenic Lake Tana route to Gondar, the former royal capital of Ethiopia. Visit the magnificent castles within the Royal Enclosure, part of the UNESCO-listed Fasil Ghebbi. Built by successive emperors over more than two centuries, these medieval fortresses reflect a unique blend of Ethiopian and European architectural styles. After breakfast, drive to the breathtaking Simien Mountains National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its dramatic escarpments, deep valleys, and Afro-alpine vegetation.
