How fees work: pay only when you accept

What you pay, when you pay it, and why the fee depends on the destination.

There is no fee to register, list safaris or browse requests. You pay only when you accept a traveller's request and unlock their contact details.

How the fee is worked out

  • The fee is a percentage of the trip value, set by a bid on each safari.
  • The allowed range of the bid depends on the destination country. Some countries are paid, some are currently free, and the page "How Bids Work" lists them.
  • You can see the fee before you accept, so there are no surprises.

Your wallet

Fees are taken from a prepaid wallet. You top it up when you are ready, and you can see every charge in your wallet history. Depending on the destination and on your account's status, a first deposit may be needed before you can accept your first paid request.

If you do not respond

Requests do not wait forever. After a few days an unanswered request may be accepted automatically if your wallet has enough funds, so keep your wallet topped up and your notifications on, or switch off safaris you cannot serve.

ImportantExact percentages, the countries that are free or paid, and timings are set by SafariVendors and can change. Always check the "How Bids Work" page and your dashboard for the current figures.
