3-Day Budget Nyerere National Park Safari from Dar Es Salaam

Your driver-guide picks you up early from your hotel or the airport in Dar es Salaam. The drive heads south through coastal villages and farmland to Nyerere National Park. After park entry formalities you begin your first game drive in the afternoon, looking for elephants, giraffes, zebras and impala, with hippos and crocodiles near the water. Spend the whole day on game drives with a picnic lunch in the park. Nyerere mixes grassland, woodland, palm-fringed lakes and channels of the Rufiji River, so each drive shows different habitats. Your guide looks for lions, buffalo, elephants and giraffes, plus birds such as fish eagles, storks and kingfishers. African wild dogs live in the area, but sightings are never guaranteed. Return in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight.
