7-Day Chimps, Gorilla Adventure with a Safari

Welcome to Uganda. Today you will arrive at Entebbe International Airport, and you will be received by one of our representatives who will then transfer you to Kampala the Capital city of Uganda where you will be staying tonight.

Incase you aa late night flight we can arrange for you accommodation near the airport to avoid driving a 1-hour distance to Kampala in the middle of the night.

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up from the hotel and start your journey to Kibale National Park. The journey will lead you to western Uganda, one of the most scenic parts of Uganda.

Arrive at the lodge, check in, and have a relaxed afternoon, or you can choose to have a community walk or a coffee tour.

After your breakfast, your guide will drive you to the briefing centre, Kanyanchu, where you will be briefed about chimpanzee trekking by the Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. You will then be assigned a group you will be trekking with today. The rangers will lead you into the forest to search for the chimpanzees. On encountering them, you will be given 1 hour with them before you are led back to the starting point to reunite with your guide.

You will then continue with your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, just 2 hours away from Kibale National Park.

Today you will have your second safari. Queen Elizabeth National Park is Uganda’s most popular and biodiverse safari destination, offering breathtaking landscapes, wildlife, and rich cultural heritage. Sitiated along the equator, the park features monuments marking the exact spot where it crosses latitude 00, adding to its uniqueness.

During the game drives, be on the lookout for lions, buffaloes, elephants, and much more wildlife the park may have to offer. You will then drive back to your lodge for lunch, and after lunch you will take a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, where you will have more wildlife encounters.

After the boat safari, you will return to your lodge for relaxation and an overnight stay.

Today you exit Queen Elizabeth National Park and continue with your adventure to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The drive will take you through the most scenic parts of Uganda. Enjoy the hilly and winding road of southwestern Uganda. On arrival at your lodge facing the Bwindi Impenetrable Rainforest, feel free to check in and have a relaxed afternoon at the lodge, or you can have a community visit, which can be arranged at the lodge.

The big day is finally here. It's time to enter the impenetrable rainforest in search of the mountain. Gorillas. But just before that, after a healthy breakfast, you will join the rest of the tourists for a short briefing about the adventure ahead of you; thereafter, you will be divided into small groups of 8 based on your assigned gorilla family you will be tracking for the day. You will then head into the forest in search of this family. On encountering the gorilla family, you will be given 1 hour with the gorillas, and after that you will be led out of the forest and reunited with your guide and awarded a certificate.

You will then be transferred to your next lodge at Lake Bunyonyi for an afternoon of relaxation by the lake.

Today you will mark the end of your 7-day safari in Uganda. After your breakfast you will start your journey back to Entebbe to catch your international flight. Your guide will transfer you to the airport. We advise that you book an evening flight out of Entebbe.

This marks the end of your 11-day Best of Uganda safari. In case you need extra accommodation at the end of your safari, we can arrange it for you.

You can also choose to fly out of Rwanda, which is a 3-hour drive away from Lake bunyonyi.
